Radisson Edwardian hosts high profile guests
The Radisson Edwardian Guildford has made its mark since opening on 29 September. Culture Secretary Jeremy Hunt MP attended the glamorous launch party in October along with 600 specially invited guests. Since then the hotel has attracted numerous high profile individuals including Harlequins RFC and none other than Father Christmas, who paid a visit to 45 children at the hotel's pre-Christmas story telling.
Cultural Communications reappointed for Masterpiece London
Having supported the launch of Masterpiece London in 2010, Cultural Communications has been reappointed for the third year running to support partnership marketing for this stunning event, working alongside Fair Director Nicola Winwood. The multi award-winning fair takes place at the Royal Hospital from 27 June to 4 July 2012 and in the Queen's Diamond Jubilee and Olympic year is anticipated to attract over 30,000 visitors drawn to the £1 billion plus worth of art, antiques and contemporary collectors' items on sale.
NatWest everywoman Award winners announced
Chrissie Rucker MBE, Dame Mary Perkins and Home Secretary Theresa May were just a few high profile names attending the NatWest everywoman Awards at The Dorchester in December. The big awards of the night went to Moira Stuart and Cath Kidston and many other entrepreneurs were honoured including Wendy Hallett who is responsible for £170 million worth of retail sales annually and Samantha Coe who fell back on her business brain and musical background after touring with Take That.
Gerard Basset appointed OBE in Queen's Birthday Honours
Gerard Basset has been appointed OBE in the Queen's Birthday Honours, capping a year which saw him achieve his ultimate ambition to win the World Sommelier Championships, representing Great Britain. Basset is the only person in the world to simultaneously hold the fiendishly challenging MW, MS and MBA qualifications. He has also enjoyed business success as a co-founder of Hotel du Vin Group and has mentored a generation of young sommeliers. Cultural Communications worked closely with Nina Basset over a period of four months to compile and submit the citation which culminated in the announcement on 11 June.
